Zambia experienced tremendous weather-related challenges in 2024. NLBI Trainer Comfort Chuunga explained that the intent of training 150 women at the 2024 Sikaunzwe Annual Gospel Conference was to encourage them to put their confidence in God during challenging life situations.
"It was a way of building resilience and empowering women to trust God amidst adversity. Zambia has been hit by the worst drought the country has ever seen; and people are going for hours and sometimes days without electricity, which has led to different economic challenges. The country has recorded a high number of cases of suicide due to stress and anxiety. The church is no exception," Comfort reported.
"The NLBI lessons were very insightful and impactful as various women opened up about some of the different challenges that they are going through which made them lose hope, self-esteem, and trust in God. Learning about the love of God and hearing what other women are going through restored their hope and love of God, and they felt encouraged," she shared.
