400 SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS learned how to cope with difficult emotions such as stress, sadness, worry, frustration and anxiety from NLBI Lessons.
“'Why Did I Do That' is a powerful NLBI lesson about understanding our behavior. It helps students understand who they are and how to overcome peer pressure, evil thoughts and generally be able to put on the mind of Christ. After every lesson we get to encourage students to learn Bible verses, pray and work hard in their school work," said Sarah Amani. Students asked, "Is it wrong to have a boy/girl relationship? My father hates me. How can I deal with this? Can you teach me how to pray? How can I avoid bad company? Can I engage in sexual relationships after am done with my school?"
300 requested baptism after the teachings. Thanks to NLBI Trainer Sarah Amani for VOLUNTEERING HER TIME to teach these students!
48 high school students and their parents, 8 school teachers, and guests from the Ministry of Education attended an NLBI seminar in western Kenya conducted by NLBI Trainer Stephen Misiko and wife Joan Chebet.
"The church's purpose in organizing this seminar was to equip the students with life changing materials from NLBI, which are Biblically-based, to prepare them to become proactive members of the society, the nation, and the world at large", said Stephen and Joan.
